New Tesla Roadster – The Ferrari killer

10,000Nm of torque.

Now that is what I like to see! The torque is also available as soon as you hit the pedal!

the truck in the article is crazy...0-100 in 5 seconds unladen, 0-100 in 20s pulling 40 tons. Wtf...truck drivers going to be revving at robots now, looking for a race.

The 10000 must be a typo. 1000nm is more likely, and even that is crazy enough.

Pipe dreams and estimates calculated on a PC. Love to see the 0 to 100 and the range in actual everyday conditions.
There previous cars range test was done on a zero resistance dyno. See how that number drops in real conditions with hills and head winds, rolling resistance and heat.

Previous cars range: 670 miles on one charge

Previous cars acceleration: 0-60 mph in 2.28 seconds and quarter-mile in 10.5 seconds

Pretty sure a 2nd generation Tesla Roadster will get 0-100km in 1.9s

Ag K*K Man !!! In 2020 the Tesla will cost you $200,000 = 2,8 Million Rand :wtf: ( Until mass production brings that $200, 000 price tag to it's knees)

I'll then wait until 2025 - 5 years later and buy it for $50,000 = R700 000 :D
