And so the police brutality continues

What would you do in a situation like that?
A cop beats you up, and they say you were acting 'riotous'..
They then say an internal investigation will be taken.

I bet nothing will happen to that cop, they are gangsters.
If I were in her situation at the time, I think I would have killed the cop.

Fscking pig.

Internal investigation is a load of bs. I hope this woman is laying a criminal charge against the guy. They are power mad and have to be brought down to earth.

No Police man or Metro cop would ever hit a woman in the face as it leaves evidence. She did something to provoke it and he then used force nesecary to execute the arrest. Just because someone got hit by another doesn't make the other person innocent by default.

That is just my 2c.

I think there is more to this story ;)

Really? The woman hardly looks a threat, and her dog is a Jack Russell. Not the scariest combination patrolling the streets.

As has been said, police are only allowed to use physical force under extreme circumstances.

Again, police are only to use force under extreme circumstances. This woman does not look capable of being a threat to this officer.

WHAT ?

Have you ever tried to put a woman in a car that doesn't want to get in ?
a Woman is like a donkey, you can take them to water but can't force them to drink ;)

Yup, but then you can beat them into a pulp. Maybe then that biatch will learn to listen? Nothing could warrant that attack.

Like I said there is more to the story, only time will tell, but I'm sure it was justified. I might be wrong, I've been wrong before :)

One question.

Why are the police not arresting the drunk guys in my neighbourhood who are pooping and peeing all over the place. And those that throw their condoms out the car windows and than we all have to look at them all sick and depleted on the ground for days afterwards. :(

I guess Sea Point has better policing than Wynberg. ;)

Easy: soft targets.

Maybe they need UAVs to help out

Oh, its the usual story..

As soon as you ask for a police officers identity they take that as some sort of personal attack and decide to kill you lest you make trouble. wtf. If a cop is in the right, he will not hesitate to give a civilian his name and force number.. Is it not illegal to withold that information? How else are we supposed to know the difference between cops, and gangsters dressed as cops??? Im thinking of getting a police uniform just so I can get special treatment..

Hi pixie

All members of the SAPS should carry their police ID at all times, I don’t know what metro and traffic are required to carry

Can someone request a policeman's name?

There is no provision giving an express right to be informed of a police officer's name.
Uniformed officers will, in any event, usually have their names displayed on a badge on the front of their uniforms. While it may inflame the situation - and one must be careful to assess the situation first - there is nothing to preclude asking for the name, rank and station number of the officer or officers.
