Hi, my dad got that adsl contract with mweb with the locked billion router. I wish to connect to a different isp on my own account. As it's locked, this is not possible.

I want to buy my own router (with splitter etc) and plug it into another telephone point at our home. Will it work if that my dad can use his telephone point with his set up and I use another point with my set up?

(My dad is rarely online but i'm always online, so if only one can connect at a time it's fine.)

If this is possible: I'm going to buy a netgear router... what else do i need? does the telephone line splitter comes with the router or do I need to buy that seperately?

please advise, thanks!

No.

Why don't you just unlock the router? There is a guide in the hardware section.
