I am using MWEB as my ISP and sometimes have trouble downloading from Rapidshare. Does anyone know what causes the invalid session error? It's the strangest thing because sometimes it does work some days it doesn't work at all.

The reason for using Rapidshare is so that I can access music freely. It therefore defeats the purpose if I invest in an account.

invalid sessions are caused by SAIX using multiple transparent proxies. Your session on RapidShare is established through 1 proxy, but then the next page is handled by another proxy. RapidShare doesn't like this and tells you your session is invalid.

Solutions:
1. Don't use RapidShare - it's more pain than it's worth
2. Buy a rapidshare account
3. Try an IS account - I had no problems connected via IS the few times I had to use RapidShare
4. Find a (single) proxy server you can use - may not work.

Works for me if I use a proxy, as Masticore said.

In IE:
Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings
Use a proxy server: cache.saix.net, port 8080.

clarity : ;)

1. Don't use RapidShare - it's more pain than it's worth
2. Buy a rapidshare account

1 - you've found something you want on RapidShare and just wanna download it quickly (i.e. you don't frequent RapidShare.) Look for it elsewhere - RapidShare isn't the be-all-and-end-all of warezing.
2 - you're a RapidShare regular. Only if you're prepared to pay for an account is the service usable / useful.

Un-contradicted ? :D

As for where to download "free" music from : there are a kazillion other sources ... some of which are REALLY free. UAFSE.

Don't use the MWeb Propel Acellerator. It drives Rapidshare crazy.
