I have just been advised that the 1024Kbits ADSL access service will be commercially available as from tomorrow 1 September 2005. The service will be known as HomeDSL 1024 and BusinessDSL 1024 and priced at R680.00 (including VAT) per month .

Any word on how we can get it?

the price is rubbish, IMO 192 subscribers should now get 384, 384 get 512 and 512 get 1024 @ the same price as they were paying before. Thats how the rest of the world does it

call telkom and either upgrade to it or apply for it?
Tried but they didnt know anything about it.

Thats what I have been waiting for thanks Paarlberg.

The only thing is if I get it I will only be able to afford one gig starting November

How long will it take to finish that gig?

EISH

... and DSL 512 & 1024 Bundle customers receive a free Wireless Modem if they are on contract. (from that webpage)

[Edit]They must mean wireless router as it has ethernet ports. Wonder what make and model it is?[/Edit]

The upgrade is free right?
Will they only have to set it @ the exchange?
