iBurst’s new pricing kicks in

lol "10 000 megabytes" on iBurst a month.. lol-lol.
It will last you a year at 5kbps

I just can't believe that they can't just bump the people up to the package that corresponds to the existing price with the higher usage?

10 megabytes for no monthly subscription,
40 megabytes at R49 per month,
500 megabytes at R149 per month,
1 000 megabytes at R199 per month,
3 000 megabytes at R449 per month,
5 000 megabytes at R599 per month and
10 000 megabytes at R999 per month.

mmmm using Megabytes makes it sound so much more... I downloaded 9574MB's 9.5Gbs this month on my 64k connection :D just on anime!

I don't use iBurst, but... are those prices actually an improvement??? R200 for 1GB? I was actually thinking of going with them until Neotel gets their butts in gear, but not a chance now.

Iburst into laughter

Every time I see ads from this company and I wonder how they can manage to stay in business. ANC junior(that's Alan Knott Craig) must either be an outright idiot or a genius but if he is a genius then we must all be idiots:confused:

Ah ... I see. A bit early for April Fool's day and it is not quite funny... but the prices are still a joke.

So when will they inform their customers? So far there has not been one single communication with their customers regarding the new pricing system.

VJB, the only information about iBursts new prices I hav found has been on this site. As you say, iBurst has not communicated anything with their existing customers, let alone announced anything to potential customers. I do hope RPM has the necessary documents to back these claims up. But whatever the case, I have now cancelled iBurst. The service I have received was fairly good until a few months ago, but its shocking now. Their max speeds have stayed the same for the past 5 years (but actual speeds have declined substantially) and they only plan an upgrade to 2Mb/s sometime later this year. Their prices have remained extremely high despite faster mobile connections (7.2mb/s later this year) and cheaper prices from MTN & Vodacom. Besides, the latter have much greater coverage in SA than iBurst. Whatever their reasons for lingering, I hav had enough. I was just hoping against all hope Neotel was already providing services, but I guess I would have to use MTN / Vodacom.

it beggars belief. it is a blatant attempt at "stealing" money from those who are uninformed. unless of course they mention to subscribers in their emails that they will have to fill out a migration form.

but still it makes little sense.

what can i do for 10mb a month. especially given i still have my iburst modem.

It's that time of the year again - I just hope Vodacom will also reduce their prices

I still blame ICASA for giving approval of the 10MB & 40Mb packages to struBi

“This is turning into an interesting year for iBurst. We’ve entered the voice communication market with the launch of Webfone and the reduction of our iCall VoIP rates. Now we’ve streamlined our data packages and made them simpler and more intuitive for the benefit of consumers,” said Thami Mtshali, CEO of iBurst.

****ing morons! All this cr@p being spewed forth, but they are incapable of advising existing clients (still waiting for response to all my mails to support, accounts, Shaun and Thami - have all the read receipts but no replies) of ANY of the changes and they haven't even updated their website!

iBurst, you are a bunch of incompetent morons who rely on the apathy and ill-advised to market your products too.

I truly hope that your company folds soon as you cannot continue to offer such abyssmal service (if the lack thereof in ALL aspects of your business can even be called that).
