More international bandwidth promised

Gee why don't I trust the guy who said there was no electricity crisis and that a bolt at Koeberg was to blame. I don't really trust the lady who under her rule has been responsible for some of the highest telecoms prices in the world. Sitting drinking tea and declaring that it will be ready on time is not the same as actually getting a move on and building the cable. My prediction is that SEACOM will be the only cable to be ready in time for the world cup and that they will make a mint selling bandwidth to other providers during 2010. And do you now what? I think that they deserve it for giving government the finger and building it completely privately.
 
I don't really believe anything the "SA government" says till at least, we start to see the fruits of that labour.

They always all talk, something like Neotel, except, Neotel's excuse is that they are "new" :D

And to be fair to Neotel at least they have fibre in the ground and enterprise customers. The government has nothing at the moment...

It is very hard to get any comfort from a statement that uses words like "operationalisation". Its the kind of word that PR people use who are desperate to make a vacuum appear solid.

If this thing does materialise, you can EASSY-ly add a few more years to the ETA.
