Telkom running out of bandwidth?

Another fascinating voyage into the marvels of gigantic BEE vaporware companies. So large yet so empty.
 
Maybe its this thats messing with my connection. Local is not a problem but international is a nightmare. Gmail takes 3 min to open. The only thing is that iam on IS.

Y can't they just do things properly? oh w8.. it's telkom..
 
i can confirm this problem..

when playing on a saix bf2 gaming server - with a verizon account , i get HUGE latency spikes...normal latency is like 60ms - but shoots up to 180-250....

and that just doesn't cut it.
 
Telkom will soon have an "Eskom".

Our lines for example were laid probably in the 60s and have never been upgraded. The junction box is so rusty the poor techies need tetanus shots before they even climb a ladder.
 
One problem I have with telkom is that there is NO ONE that you can go to and give a smack upside the head and tell them to get their act together or they will be in bigger trouble.
 
they've always had bandwidth problems. how are they supposed to provide oogles of bandwidth on 99.99% uptime for 2010 is they are already having problems!

Same way Eskom solves its problems. Cut all adsl lines in the Cape when the game is in Gauteng and vice versa.

Don't be so sure that Telkom is doing this out of incompetence. It is not beyond the realm of probability that this is a calculated move on the part of Telkom to try to prejudice Verizon Business!
