Standard Bank computers on the blink

Hmmm I can see the bank charges and other admin fees going up to cover for the losses..

Nope that was how long it took to restore the backup tapes, before the cockup created by the coder boys in reponses to the price increases, as a protest for all of us. Beware Banks and other institutions, we have planted sleeper agents in your places of business. Continue on this road of unwarranted increases and we will sacrifice more soldiers to make you see our way.

I thought something was borked. Tried for over an hour to log onto internet banking yesterday with no success. Grrrrr

This happend to all the other banks during load shedding BTW.

Its real easy, power goes down servers stay up, cooling systems go down... servers fry, no more banking network for the rest of the day.

I'm glad i didn't work on that software - must be very stressfull.

Dammit! Finally managed to log in to online banking! This is the second time in the space of 30 days that I am unable to use Standard Banks online banking! What the hell, this is bull ****! No problems with FNB, since I've been using it!

Internet Banking site still down...very frustrating, i need to make payments... Arrgggghhh

ooops? wrong button? rather a expensive mistake.

Believe me, it is.

One wrong setting on the software/hardware, and the dogs of war is unleashed.

Colleague of mine told once of his brother who worked for a big bank (which shall remain nameless). It was discovered that one of the computers' time zone was incorrect, and such things are extremely critical, so the entire IT team was tested by polygraph.

Not fun.

Pay is good, but the stress, no thanks.
