Telkom's plans for change

Just sell sell sell!!!!! Telkom is basically a Squatter camp with a logo, man!
 
so 'mobile' is going to be the answer to their prayers? good luck with that then.
 
The big question is: should Telkom shed its Vodacom stake and be bought out, or can it can ever be an attractive and viable standalone business?

Lol, they probably figure no one else will bother either since it's about Telkom... I'm sure we've all come to the conclusion that Telkom doesn't know it's head from its @$$. No matter what the CEO says, we'd be better off reading tea leaves to figure out where this company is headed...:rolleyes:
 
Telkom's going to have a 'judgement day' when real competition is coming to town.
 
Closer to home, Telkom faces numerous challenges, including cable theft, which wiped out R980-million during the last financial year, and poor customer service.

Maybe if they give us a shoot to kill policy (with regards to cable theft) then we could possibly see a reduction in ADSL costs.

I Don't think so. I think pricing and services are the key. I want a simple product to work and to never have to phone customer service, that will improve my customer experience, as will cheaper pricing.
If Telkom sell their Vodacom shares they will die a slow death and probably be sold off piece by piece to operators who can do the job better.
The Telkom media idea was good and could have breathed new life into a flagging company but with that idea down the tubes (I think?) They are just bits of copper and fiber in the ground with nothing fresh to offer. RIP Telkom.
Ill give them 5 more years at most in their current state.
 
when i read the headline that telkom is changing i nearly choked on my morning coffee ;) but seriously who cares what telkom does, the do what they want anyway, if they planning on actually improving then yay.
