Hmmm . . . My laptop (2005 model), does not even access the hard drive at this speed ! No wonder the japs are there, after all they are the people with the biggest brains around - I bet you did not know that![]()
No standard HDD can handle 128MB/s write afaik. To be able to handle those speeds one would need to use RAID. Closest I've seen gets to about 100MB/s. Last time I checked at least.
But I think that other factors will limit the speeds they would be able to get out of those 1Gbps lines. eg. Not all internet servers out there is on 1Gbps lines...
