It seems unbelievable, but the only thing seriously injured in this crash was the driver's ego.

The young man behind the wheel of this £100,000 Ferrari lost control as he sped through the streets of Adelaide, Australia, and smashed into an electricity pole.

The prang left the engine and bonnet wrapped around the structure.

Incredibly, the driver and his male passenger, who have not been named, received only minor injuries.

How can the engine be wrapped around the pole if the engine is at the back?

very true , they are rear engined supercars , and the front is pretty much empty , if the engine was infront , the pole wouldnt be standing .

I thought the Maranello has the engine in front?

The F550/F575 Maranello does have the engine in the front. That is the 5.5l V12.
The F360 is the 3.6L V8 which sits at the back.

It's a 360 Modena......and as above the engine is in the back.....

I find it very hard to believe the driver and the passanger didnt get seriously injured.

Whiplash yes. But remember that those sportscars are made for high speed... thus it will not totally collapse around the driver/passenger.

yes yes, but if you look at the pics, the dash is almost touching the seat (the pic makes it looks that way), if he had a whiplash, his face would have wacked the dash through the bags.

Damn. Was waiting to post this on Saturday with the headline "Ferrari takes pole!"

I'm sad to admit that I'm not even joking this time.

more like £50000 really,

sorry, i meant £50000 before he met the pole, maybe £4000 now.
