Bad blogs trash corporate reputations

Well I hope companies will now realize they should give great service the 1st time round. Don't bully the client and then afterwards come crying when you get a bad reputation.

I find these tactics by companies disgusting, they will only help the people that gave them a bad rep, but the poor guy without any access to channels to log his frustration and complaint just get ignored.

Not just corporate reputations are getting trashed... but then it is only derserving that the public sometimes learn the truth about a farce.

Even hellopeter, a free service, received complaints. “It’s about how the complaints are handled. People want intensive care, and if they’re not getting that, they will go elsewhere.”

Free for the customer yes. Companies have to pay the site to respond to complaints.

According to me it is unethical. The site is just as bad as a company with bad service.

lol companies pay to reply - lol - genius!

I think peter just sits around creating users and posts, raking in the cash as the companies scuffle to fix their names....lol

It's not like he owns a monopoly on complaint web-sites. If someone truly thought it was a good business model to have a web-site like that completely free, they would've made it by now... and if they have... maybe there is a reason people don't use it.

And when you complain about HP on HP, you post gets deleted.

And when MTN respond to a complaint with a lie, and you reply to their update saying "that is a lie" the word "lie" is bleeped out as if it is a swearword !!! How cute

-1 for hellopeter's stupid bleeps.
-10,000 for charging companies for the right to respond.

I complained about Telkom, and the Lawyers company that they used to tell me that I should pay. I complained on HelloPeter. I received the next day an apology from the lawyers and asked for my e-mail so that they can send me a proof of payment letter and the case being closed.

+1 HelloPeter
+1 For making them pay for their negligence.

It was unacceptable from the companies. Thanks to sites like hellopeter. I have less stress. If Telkom want to brag about their service delivery they should clear up their complaint list at hellopeter and sites like mybroadband.

Just thinking of Telkom makes me sweat.

The problem with sites like hellopeter is that the customer is not always right.

Everyone knows that there's always customers that just plain stupid or unreasonable!

theres more companies that r plain stoopid + unreasonable + bn getting away with murder for donkeys years. hellopeter is only those customers with access 2 the internet. the other 99.9% continue getting screwed out of sight...

whenever i get crappy treatment, i run to hellopeter. 100% of the time i get called back & my issue solved. if thats what it takes, then so be it!

+999999999 hellopeter

compared to the UK... companies in SA take the piss when it comes to customer satisfaction.

UK:
My dvd player broke in the UK.... it swapped without any questions asked to the value of the broken DVD player. Problem solved first time around. Sorted out in 20 minutes.

RSA:
My Telefunken TV packs up... Game (the pink company) decide to try and fix it first... TV screen starts up with samsung all over it..... Take it back. Game try and fix it again. Screen has a green tint... take it back for the last time. Lose my cool completely. Get a new TV. Took over a month to sort out. Crazy.

Why would anyone want to complain about HP?

Some forumites here told the story that their complaints about HP were deleted. You can probably search for it.

Think it was someone who posted that HP is effectively blackmailing companies to pay his fees and the person posted it on HP. Got deleted.

Even this forum deletes posts, so that cannot be the sole reason. I wouldn't call it blackmail, more like sour grapes. A company only appears on HP after 5 or so complaints, for one thing. Also, ANY person can complain on a BLOG and there's often NO recourse. At least you can reply on HP, if you feel up to it.

Ony if you pay.

Ony if you pay.
With a sliding fair payscale that takes into account business size. It probably benefits some companies, especially those that don't like or have the wherewithall to deal with customers. Like those ones that put customers on hold for 40 minutes ;)

We haven't even touched on the public good it does. It's like criticizing Wendy Knowler without coming out with egg on your face or suing a charity.

peter never pretended he was running a charity. he is simply benefitting from corporate sa's slack attitude. i'd actually charge them more for the same service

The thing is if you got a company I can say whatever I want about it even if your in the clear but you still have to pay for my crap claims.
