You must have a lot of data, to need a few Terabytes worth of storage :)

Afaik anything Pre Vista SP1 will not be able to use exFAT formatted drives so no use to me at all if that is the case. But there seem to be a Semi-Solution for that problem at least.

So as far as I read it, SDXC won't work in any of my current devices (camera/mobile/PC) & is going to be $$$ for now - no thx. :(

Pro SxS cards from Sony and pro P2 cards from Panasonic retail for $800
per 16GB. If SDXC an hold 2000GB that would make 'em super expensive,
although with both P2 and SxS cards the video transfer is enough to
copy DVCPro HD video or XDCAM HD video at above realtime speeds,
that is very fast. I doubt SDXC can achieve fast speeds necessary for
pro HD video transfer in above realtime speed.

What's the writing/reading speed?
We need high speed writer/readers otherwise using it will be a pain in the ess.

Not only will SDXC provide gargantuan storage capacity, but it will also provide high speed-data transfer speeds of 103MB per second, with a road map scheduling 300MB per second in the pipeline.
