Neotel reveals NeoFlex pricing

These packages seems to be a little steep for home users. Personally I'm looking for something around R400. 10gb is a bit OTT. Need 5gb at most.
 
10Gb for R599 (minus R100 for the device)

currently 1Gb goes for R70 (axxess prepaid) so there's a saving of a whole R100...

Now we only need seacom to putt concrete on top of us to make sure we will never get up again...
 
And no uncapped for R999 like their Neo Connect Prime package? tsk.
 
we currently pay R490 for 10GB plus about R200 for line rental.. so we actually save nothing by moving to neotel.. i'd rather stick with the stability and speed of adsl. back to the drawing board neotel.
 
Obviously Neotel is in cherry picking mode.

The overhead costs for a R100 pm and R1000 pm customer would be roughly the same.

Why choke a network under development with lowly paying users, when there is sufficient highly paying users available?

These packages makes a lot of sense from the Neotel perspective, but are useless for the cash strapped consumer wishing for decent affordable internet access.
 
I get 3GB int and 30GB local for R500 odd with TI.

Firstly, I also agree, that these prices are way to expensive for the average Joe. Disappointing really.

However, compared to a Telkom option am I correct with the following:

x1 Telkom analogue line rental +-R120
x1 4MB ADSL line rental +-R460
x10 GB @ R70 +-R700

Total +-R1280.

Is this accurate? Not to mention the installation costs, and waiting time. It seems many people on this forum quote their internet costs, excluding the line rental.
 
The cost is not the winner here! firstly ADSL is much faster for things like skype & other time critical applications "Games"

Neotel has lots of Prime clients that just want internet access nothing else - their current prime device is really poor in uploading!! this is just like what Telkom would have done!!

I am a Prime user & must say I think it's just silly - me thinking of going back to the Big T & getting unlimited Paying the R600 More as I know I will be able to use skype & doing gaming!

Why on earth is it more expensive without the added extras?!
