Neotel reveals NeoFlex pricing

WTF

How did Neocrud come up with this pricing ... 10GB on connect prime = 599 and 15GB = 699 .. then Flex = 699 for 10GB and 899 for 15GB

while its not clear what the connect device Charge is on the PDF .. you do get a couple of free telkom minutes and some sms's etc .. how can this package be MORE expensive .. are they on drugs ....

Been holding on for absolutely nothing .. hope you go bankrupt Neotel .. really .. this is just disgusting.

I wouldn't compare this Neotel offer to 4Meg ADSL, maybe 512. 10GB is also available much cheaper than R700.

Still, I don't think many of us would be interested. ADSL has the benefit of cheap local bandwidth.
 
I had high hopes that I could tell Telkom to stick their ADSl line where the profits don't shine today. Sadly it looks like I'll be stuck with ADSL for a lot longer than I thought. A real shame Neotel, a real shame.

Is NeoConnect not a better price / performance option?

Excluding all the free minutes, etc. with NeoConnect Prime you get 10GB for R599, 15GB for R699 and Uncapped for R999.

What makes NeoFlex better @ R699 for 10GB and R899 for 15GB?
 
I don't think any company will switch for those charges. Rather pay a bit more and get stable ADSL with 3G Prepaid for backup.
 
No thank you I will stick to my adsl line. This is truly an epic fail. Keep us hanging on for this *****....
 
there goes my hope..its pointless..we are not going to get cheaper bandwidth any time soon..

Just because I want an ethernet device, does not mean I want 10GB.

What about a 1GB/3GB option?

only if I'm stupid and on drugs and have nothing better to do with my money, wtf are they thinking? neoconnect prime is much cheaper and comes with free phone minutes to telkom as well and also sms if i'm correct, they have to be sooo stupid to think that us consumers are so dumb that we will go for the more expensive and less service packages just because they call it something like a flex, this is totally ridiculous.

-1 vote from me, neotel can honestly go and f itself since they have no adequate anything to match the hope they have created.

I bet this will be the same even when seacom lands because now they will make a package that says, connected via seacom and then charge you 799 for 10GB because of seacom.
 
I think the Neotel people do not realise that sometimes you stick with your service provider not because you like them or that they offer the best service but rather because it is too much trouble to switch. In the case of Neotel, it is not worth the effort. Besides, with a 4meg ADSL line, you get very close to 4meg, unlike them where you get only a third of the promised speeds.
 
You peoplle are being completely unrealistic. If you look on the site it is aimed at small business and the high end of the consumer market. Not the Cheap Internet portion.

Neotel do have a product for that it's called Neoconnect Lite.

I challenge anyone to find a connection option that does not use the 384Kbps DSL option where you can get 10GB for under R700 a month including line rental etc.

It doesn't exist. In most scenarios you would struggle to get a 512Kbps line and 5GB for R700.

If you expected Neotel to suddenly start selling Internet access for dirt cheap prices then you clearly haven't been listening to anything they have been saying.

If you were expecting an uncapped option for this product you have got to be smoking something, the network is fast and you would be able to pull down many many GB of data in a month. That would spoil the service for everyone else.

I am willing to pay R700 for 10GB because that lets me do whatever I want on the net without getting capped each month for a price that I am willinng to pay.

And if the service gets overloaded then I simply pay off the device, put it on bid or buy and find something else to use.

Neotel have delivered almost exactly what was expected of him and you crazed bandwidth higs really need to take a wiff of life in the real economy not your crazy little part of the internet.

Almost the single biggest complaint was that the "cheaper" product featured a POS USB device - and we were told to wait for NeoFlex for an ethernet device.

And then we get sold this steaming pile of poo.

Sorry, no excuse for Neotel - they failed. EPICALLY
 
@pope24.. i don't think we're being unrealistic. we're looking for a reason to switch to neotel.. so far they haven't given us any reason. simple as that!

You clearly don't understand the offerings. Flex is more expensive than prime because only one person can down;load on prime at a time (without using a seperate PC as a gateway) and multiple peoplle can connect using flex.

Flex runs Rev A which is faster than the straight EVDO which prime uses.

You can't call and download at the same time on Prime and the expectation is that the device wouldn't be running 24/7.

They can offer better pricing on Prime because it is slower and limited to one PC and they know that people are not going to use their full cap.

You are complaining because they haven't given you an uncapped option for R500. This was NEVER going to happen. You need to wake up and smell the coffee.
