Hi all,

Just wanted to let the community know , that even after 9 years of the games official release there is a new S.A Closed realm server up.

And no its not hosted on ADSL :P

Server : 41.0.26.51

Come lets play ? :D
 
w00t installing d2 right now!!! something to do this holiday.

Lucky b@stards, wish I was back in varsity and on holiday. Have to get up early tomorrow and leave pta for Joburg.
 
Had a good co-op session last night, running through Act1 :D

Very cool local server!
 
YAY! Now I just need to rummage around for D2 among my stack of golden oldies... :D
 
Couldn't connect so I updated my Diablo 2 LoD to v1.12a from here then it seemed to connect but can't seem to join, it loads to about 90% then stops for a while before saying failed to join game. Have to admit I've never played this online so I'm probably doing something wrong.

Any ideas?

How are you connecting? Have you used a Gateway Editor to add the IP address to D2's server list?
 
Yup, I found two one of which is the same gateway editor that Postman linked to a picture of, and set it up the same way except I entered "Diablo 2 Closed Realm" as the server name instead of the IP but that doesn't seem to be important.

I reinstalled D2 and patched it. I didn't install LoD should I? I also have a router so would I need to forward any ports? Incase it helps the gateway editor does ping 41.0.26.51
 
No idea on the port forwarding. I do have LOD and play perfectly fine on any of the local closed realm servers.

You don't need to but you should install LoD. Not sure if you'll be able to play with other people [who have LoD] since AFAIK they use two different ladders.

IIRC some people have had to forward ports. Port 6112 TCP/UDP. But this could have been fixed, and you will know if you have to forward them (won't let you on the server or play/create games).
 
Still installing game, anyone playing tonight? I have some 60-80lv characters and 1 lv14.
