ISPA becomes official industry body

Well done ISPA. Certainly not easy to deal with state institutions and few associations are more worthy of this status than ISPA!

Okiedokie, besides handling complaints and getting people to join them, what does ISPA do?

Here: http://www.ispa.org.za/

- Has a list of ISP's that keep domain names in the domain owner's name.
- Does some teaching of basic computer skills as part of their social development program.

Um um um um ...

Can we contact them to deal with Uniforum?

This is good news... hope the new minister is a go-getter :)

There might be a few surprises in store for us...
 
One week in the job, and the new minister has already done one more good thing than the old one... :D Let's hope he keeps it up.
 
Well done ISPA.

With the ministers back ground in military, maybe this might be a move to speed up his education in the field, which is all good as the ISPA can then steer him in a positve direction.

The ECT Act has been around for quite a few years - longer than the ECA, was there an expiry date attached to the MoC recognising IRBs?

Either way, well done ISPA, and a small indication that the DoC under new management might not be a total waste of tax payers' money like the Dementia of Communistications was under Poison Ivy & Stalin-Mafole & Roy Padayachie.

Still !CASA and its lack of independence that needs to be dealt with - preferably starting with the sacking of Paris Mashile and the rest of Poison Ivy's plants from the Mbeki era - perhaps things would move quicker if they were seen as being COPE loyalists...:rolleyes:

nope...ISPA has been trying to secure this for the past 5 or so years
