Best Value Nvidia Gfx Card

9600GT? Its damn Good card for the price and its got enough headroom to oc aswell.

Just bought a xfx8800gt 256mb on prophecy for R650. Just look around. A second hand 3870 or 3850 is south of 1 grand aswell.

I'm still floating in the same boat as the OP.

Need something that can start handling GTA IV.
It's pathetic with my current xfx8500GT :D

OMG dude - GTA IV on a 8500gt? seriously??!!

glad I don't have THAT card!

....any more :p

HD4670 is south of R1000.

Frontosa has them for around R700. I'm going to buy one next week....

Edit: Hang on they have the HD4650 for around 700; the 4670 is around R300 more. Is it worth the extra money? I'm so confused with all these cards. In the old daysit was simple: you had a Voodoo which was cheap and a Voodoo 2 which was not cheap....

Ok this is just my opinion here so dismiss it or whatever....but a cheap graphics card defeats the purpose because you can't actually play games on it. Ok I know it's expensive, and I know it constantly needs upgrading anyway so it's a royal pain, but if you want to play PC games you want to do it at good settings and high resolutions, and you don't want your equipment to need replacing in five months because a game comes out that is unplayable on your machine.
