Android Market update: We ARE getting it

I just spoke to Leaf's MD and we're getting the Android Market in the next two weeks!

They will SMS every Magic owner with instructions to either download and ROM the phone or take it to a Voda Care Centre who will flash it for you.

*sigh of relief* no need to void the warranty
 
I'm so glad I bought on eBay and haven't had to put up with this cr@p... the phone is NOTHING without the market IMO. There is just so much on the market - so many free apps, that it's just plain dumb to offer it without market.

I have been enjoying it with cupcake update (on screen kb) and developer features since January this year cost me R3k on eBay - great little phone!
 
So what happened or changed to get to this? Did enough people throw a fit? Or was it decided long ago and everyone were misinformed?

I just think they realised their mistake.

It was decided two days ago. Leaf say they have been applying for the market and getting rejected by Google until two days ago. Google say our providers blocked it. Who knows, point is we're getting it.

I went to Consumer watch a week ago, and I think a few others did too. When leaf called me it was about some complaint I'd lodged, so that may have been Consumer Watch.

If true, it was STUPID. Who'll sign up at full price for half a device? Leaf had to act because their competition (Samsung and others) would have come to market with Android Market enabled I'm sure. No use not having it. Glad it's sorted as this makes the Android option a real one now.

Any update on this? Haven't heard anything from Leaf regarding flashing my device as yet....
 
Just a quick question, How much ram can I fit in my magic. Will it support the 32gig Micro SD or not ?
