Telecommunication - not a fly-by-night business

"I am of the opinion that our regulations don’t have to be reinvented. If something works in the rest of the world why do we want to re-invent it? Bill Gates gave us a good cut and paste feature in Windows. Copy and paste good practices and get on with life. Let the sector grow. If we don’t take the leap in our regulatory environment, technology will overtake regulation," he said.

WHY CAN"T WE BE LIKE THE REST OF THE WORLD ?

Well that explains what Neotel was doing for all those years, they worried about how they would be referred to, rather than delivering services!!!

WTF is "Converged" in their offering?

providing people with the type of internet experience not seen before."
Correct. We haven't seen one this bad before!

Am I the only one that finds it ironic that most flights to the UK are over night flights... AKA, flying by night?

Very ironic, most international flights are overnight, designed to give you a fresh start at your new place in the morning, as with neotel....... new start???? well it was new but now its getting very very very old.

Am i hearing the "we will double the tower in the next year" story again??? if everytime they "double" their towers then we get exponential growth but...... that isn't happening and the big massive changes they brought to the game?????

Let's see, converged, afaik telkom is still more converged, at least i don't have to stop BNET when a call comes in.

As with an internet experience not seen b4, well not to compare apples with pears, 3G is wireless, speeds at now 7Mbps neotel?? 3.6Mbps and u hardly ever get there.

And what lowered international bandwidth prices????????????
