Up till last night I had constant EXCELLENT Reception. (Neotel Flex)

The signal went down for 3 hours and when it came back I now have a modem that alternates between a No Signal and Red Signal. Sometimes connect and then loses connection.
 
Congrats - uve been the receipient of a change in the towers direction!
I hate it when they do that.
 
Some of us have no choice due to Telkom no longer servicing our area after cable thefts...
 
Check out screamer telecoms. They have most of jhb covered! My friend jus joined them and theyre very helpful.
 
Your service provider is now in breach of contract.

But, back to Neotel's modus operandi. I wonder why they did not use the opportunity to add to the tower instead of re-focusing it. I thought they had ample budget and were actively improving their coverage.

I will be putting in a complaint with Icasa and following it up.

I am now a seriously pissed off customer so will go out my way to promote bad publicity for them.

If i do not get any answers by this afternoon I will

1. Lay a charge of Fraud against them. Taking money under false pretences.
Ie. Provide coverage, get as many people conned as they can then reorientate antennaes to only provide marginal or no connection. That type of business practice is illegal.

2. Approach Carte Blanche and see what is needed for them to air something about this. If need be I will a contact to get them info they need.

As soon as I get some time from work this week I will start in this.
 
that's like spar taking back your mince after you have already paid for it ?

Its like Spar not letting you leave the Spar with the mince once you have paid for it ...

Basically I have a 2year contract. They have now changed their coverage so I no longer have coverage.

And when you have to pay for the mince, they never let u know how much is in there! They jus let u keep filling it up and then they bang u with a massive bill which u have to pay for cos its in the bag already.
 
Good luck dude. I have been waiting more than a month since they phoned me after the MyBB meeting they had. The neotel guy promised me he would get a rep out to me to check what's up. That was the last I heard from them. This isn't the first time either. I have just given up. I'm thinking of cutting my losses and going back to ADSL. Neotel just isn't worth the effort, and they sure as hell not the cheapest anymore either.
