New iPhone 3GS pricing released

I've never been able to justify spending more than R3000 on a phone. No matter how 'cool' it is. Wouldn't say no if I was offered it for free though.

The only guys that can afford that at easely is people earning 40K+ a month and are single. Zombies like me don't need such a high expense for phone. Fashion statement? Oh well. :erm:
 
I got an iPhone 3G for both myself and my wife. I usually don't spend money on such things but have had no regrets since.

Having said that, we don't plan on moving to the 3GS or any other phone any time soon..
 
I'd spend R5,000 or R6,000.00 on a phone (just not the iPhone) - because although it's only useful for 2/3 years, you use it just about constantly for communicationwhile you're awake.
 
Has anyone found a store that actually has stock yet?
Its so frekked up that they keep on releasing a phone but theres no stock.

WTF!

If you release a product it means there is stock available for me to go get.

im still on my 2G iPhone. With these prices its rediculous getting one. I rather sell my 2G and some other junk laying around, buy the phone outright and continue with my business top-up. R315 a month with R315 airtime.

Nelson Mandela Square Vodashop and Vodaworld. I think they have 16GB, and they have 32GB in white. If anybody knows where they have stock of 32GB in black, please let me know.
 
Just phoned an istore. Dude, told me that in south africa there is just gonna be white iphone 3gs's. Only the '8g' model(which is the old model) is available in black :/

Don't know how true this is as its just a sales person from a store, can anyone else confirm?

Nelson Mandela Vodashop has in stock 8GB Black & 16GB Black & 32GB White only.

As for Vodaworld, I can't get through to them. And all the other vodashops in and around the JHB area in major shopping centres dont have stock at all. Only expecting in 2 weeks, mid-august.
 
Very glad its finally out here... but on a cash option of over $1000 for the 16GB - no way. I am currently trying to get one from overseas for quite a chunk cheaper than they are selling them here. Hope it works out.

Check with Vodashop in Bedford Center. I was there yesterday and they told me that they will have stock and ready to sell today.
 
Called Dion Wired, Vodashops, Cellucity. No one has it. They still think its coming in two weeks. For a communications company, Vodacom sure doesn't know how to communicate.
