Neotel calms SEACOM redundancy concerns

I hope this is the last SEACOM article for this year....

So if the SAT3/Safe provides redundancy for Seacom obviously at certain cost implications it seems what is keeping them back from dropping broadband prices up to consumer level. We need to grab the middel man by the GOnads I think

However, SAT3/SAFE costs are the same as SEACOM. So whats the issue?

It sounds like IS are not at all keen on passing savings on to the consumer...

I'm starting to think all the service providers are grasping at straws in order to keep the inflated prices.

Q: Why did the chicken cross the road?
A: To keep the broadband prices high!

That is quite true many statements were made that the costs are the same now with pricing that was dropped on the SAT3/Safe cable. Now neotel shoots a moerske hole in al the other peoples redundancy stories. It seems these people can't keep track of the bull they are spinning us anymore. It seems they tend to forget that there are other IT professionals out there that also know the interwebs.

I have lost all hope of better services / offerings.
All the rage was Seacom. Now it is 2010 with rumblings about 2011!
International bandwidth was always claimed to be expensive. Now it is back haul & the last mile.
Will someone please wake me when something decent happens?

Or more like this:

Major ISP leaders in front of the DEVIL.

Q: DEVILS asks, why did you lie to everyone about broadband pricing?

A: To inflate our profits for as long as possible.

DEVIL's reply: I like you, you are welcome in my wonderful paradise, I have a very special place for people like you!

As the ISP leader walks into hell and past all the taxi drivers he sees a reserved sign that reads.

FOR HEARTLESS MONEY GRABBING FOOLS ONLY! ENJOY YOUR STAY!

i don't need redundancy...but i want the cost saving that goes along without having that luxury...

when they go down i'll just buy some saix bandwidth....etc...
