Act urgently on cellphone rates, Siphiwe Nyanda tells ICASA

Go Siphiwe! If you can pull this off and give us first world broadband, then I have no problem with you getting another 2 BMWs!

Excuse me, but why only now? Why not as soon as he got into office?

In fact... why not just fire all of the ICASA clowns for gross dereliction of duty and incompetence and appoint some guys who actually know what they are supposed to be doing?

I'm sorry.. but this all sounds nice and pretty now. But it is FAR too late.

I don't think he has done a month's work since he got into office. I mean other than this announcement and the broadband initiative proposals.. what else has he actually achieved?

Oh, sorry.. he blew 2.3 million on two cars. That must taken a month of planning and looking through catalogues as well.

Oh, ... and sorting out the SABC mess.

Add it up and its more than Ivy did in 10 years of office.

Question is.. can icasa do it in just over a month?!?!? I mean how long did the ADSL thingies take and that really only affected Telkom/Saix

Interconnect rates are dropping on 1 Dec 2009.
and pigs will fly and chickens will have teeth.

Sipiwe Nyanda is Delivering ...................

Sit back and watch the fun unravel................

5 Policy directions will be issued

2 Have already been done.

1. Reduce interconnection rates to cost based. ( Not up for Discussion )
2. All tariffs increases are to be filed with a new committee before filing with Icasa.

3 More to come in 2010.

All those against the new policies, we will ask Vodacom to keep you on the older Tariffs by request. Vodacom will gladly assist you with that.

Vodacom, Vodafone & Uys you better brace yourself for more caviar is on it's way.

Did he sort that out? Still looks pretty messy to me.

Okay, replace "sorting" with "involving himself in" if it will make you happy.

If you had only one hair left on your head, would you split that too?

It's funny seeing a minister actually doing something. Did I fall down the rabbit hole by any chance?
