Free Wi-Fi in airports from Google

Great news! I hope it becomes a permanent feature. Travellers just need to send a few e-mails to home and the office, they are not heavy users.... they are not there long enough... doesn't even have to be super-fast internet, just enough for e-mail and VOIP.

I was extremely disappointed to see that there was no free internet at Washington Dulles airport, one of the busiest airports in the world and the capital of the US. You have to pay $10 to get access for a few hours (and even that was not working, the VISA payment gateway would not load).

Hopefully something along these lines will also be in place before the world cup next year in our South African airports.

Hong Hong, Singapore and London Heathrow all have free wi-fi, although I think Heathrow is only in the transit area...
