Microsoft Office 2010 ups the ante

Gr8 to use however it was slow to install, the way it took so long I thought I'm installing windows.... :)
 
But as other alternatives become popular other platforms, such as Linux, or even web-based ones, will become enticing to users.

What's the possibility of Microsoft producing a Linux version? ;)
 
about the same as all the planet's lining up in our solar system. Maybe, maybe not ;)
 
Office was ok since 97, days. Beyond the planned obsolescence that MS puts in, there is no reason to upgrade. You only got updated file formats but they could have released patches for that.

On a related note, I used the OSS Scribus for Mac (You get a Win version too) to do some DVD cover designs and the product works like a bomb and generates high quality PDF files which are fully customisable (compression, encryption, font embedding, layers, Adobe Acrobat version compatibility, etc). All FREE.
