2010 Tech wish list

The dawn of a new year is a time when people in many parts of the world make wishes for the future. Technology fans are no different. While 2009 was traumatic in the financial world, there were glimmers of hope in technology: the iPhone 3GS continued pushing the boundaries in handhelds; computer technology got smaller, faster, and cheaper; the internet bubbled with social networking sites.

what about those google satellites? when are those launching? those should help google firmly entrench themselves in economies where bandwidth never existed before.

nice correction on the smartphone share. i think the misconception comes from american-centric world view.

i want passenger jets that fly without a pilot in 2010! come on ppl its 2010, no excuse!

Sounds like an Apple and Blackberry promotion.
And what's wrong with Google taking over. Pretty much everything they do is for free. Maps/Earth, GMail, Docs etc.

+1 Guy,the US needs to wake up & notice that there are more to smartphones than this BB & iPhones...

The comment about e-book readers missing key features is just plain wrong. I bet the author is one of those people who see wireless and backlighting as a key feature. For reading fiction the current crop of devices are great. It's only when you want to read technical manuals, magazines and need to take thousands of notes that they aren't that good.

As for the iTablet not everyone wants a multifunction device. I want to read - not watch, videos, listen to music or browse the web.
