I've been reading Vodacom's Broadband Standard and Advanced Terms & Conditions and I can't find how long the out-of-bundle rate will remain at the in-bundle rate after the bundle is depleted. Anyone know?

I did find the following interesting line under Prepaid Specific Rules:
The last bundle purchased, will determine the tier the customer is assigned to.
Does this mean you can buy a 1GB Broadband Standard bundle and then immediately a 150MB Broadband Advanced bundle and be on the 7.2 profile?

Will it allow you to purchase both BB-Standard and BB-Advanced bundles simultaneously?

AFAIK, the OOB = IB should be for as long as the bundle is active, or thats at least how i understand it.

They do say:
Unlimited data bundle purchases will be allowed across tiers (Broadband Standard and Advanced)
I take that to mean there are no limits on bundle purchases across tiers.

That's what I would have thought as well.

Something is making you think otherwise? Or is it just general curiosity?
What you posted here made me think that if the 7.2 profile falls away on the 1st, perhaps the OB=IB falls away too.

@oc: What rate were you charged when your BB-A bundle finished?

No official answer, on this :
OB is usually a rarity with prepaid
@oc did you make use of OB?

The client should be charged OB=IB for the bundle validity period... i.e end of next calendar month

PM me your number and I will have a look
Did you find anything?

I still have an active Broadband Advanced bundle with 150MB on it which expires at the end of this month. I'm willing to load some airtime on it and deplete the bundle in order to see what my out-of-bundle rate is going to be.

I figure if I load R12 airtime and I manage to transfer 162MB, the out-of-bundle rate is correct. If I only manage 156MB, there is a problem.

Interesting threads here, had to add my piece to Guy's. I use BB 3G on Voda Prepaid, but I use alot and it can vary between 2 to 3 gigs a week. what I have done is: I have many sim cards in a system and as the one is depleted I go to the next one always starting the last first, my thinking is that this way i remain IB due the large amounts of data I use, Ok its a real B**ch to do and the with the RICA i guess doing all these sims is gonna look kinda weird... but it works i think ..... -)

Abadon. Please can you explain a bit more clearly what you are doing and why? If you using a Blackberry, then you dont get charged for data used (unless it is for large downloads and streaming or using phone as a modem) I have reread ure post a few times and having a hard time figureing out whats going on.

Have you found anything yet?

@VD: Shall I try running my BB-A bundle flat and seeing what happens?

HI Ginggs

The problem as per tech has been resolved , this was just confirmed.

Well, I've just checked on my (related?) problem and I'm still on the 3.6 profile.

Shall I do the test to confirm that the out-of-bundle rate on BB-A is working correctly, or is it better to leave the bundle intact for the billing dept to resolve?

Its has`nt changed your profile now to 7.2

The fix was implemented yesterday so that future bundles purchased ,profiles will not reset and ib = ob fixed aswell.
