Currently I have a 20 gig and 30 gig account... using the 20 gig right now and yes I was capped this morning but I checked the page and the stats reset right now though international speeds are slow ... and I mean REALLY slow. Anyone else experiencing this problem? Any reasons why we should be experiencing this problem? information would be greatly appreciated if there is any to be had :)

Thanks

Yeah, DSL on axxess and isoft has been cr4p all day since yesterday morning. certain websites won't load and P2P is slow like 3-5K/sec. I think Cape Town is a little messed up at the moment.

Getting same problem - BTW, slow on any SAIX account - just checked with my work Telkom account, same problem as axxess.

Nothing over 5k per second - looks like some aggressive shaping is going on ?

had same prob re p2p in joburg on axxess - fine http, but zero p2p and also MIRC downloads are messed and have been for like two days now.. been phoning them all day and bugging them - only way to let them know something is Wrong and The Customer Is Getting Grumpy :)

I'd recommend all the folks with speed probs, make a point of phoning them, just so that they understand that there seems to be a widespread problem that needs to be addressed (ie: FIXED) - they're not like IBurst, they're normal folks - so they'll understand the concept of grumbling customers = 'hmm, we better fix this and keep our customers, if we want to be able to afford those new lava lamps for the front office' :P

they (axxess) say they'll be posting whatever they get told, on forum..hopefully at the latest, by tomorrow..

Slow speed in Pretoria

I have ADSL at home as well as at the office. Been having slow access speeds all day. Anybody in pretoria having the same problem?

Slow International

i could be wrong, but i believe one of the edge routers in the bellville exchange is giving problems. There is notification of maintenance for this weekend. Also not to mention the cable theft problem yesterday at another major telkom exchange.

Just a note, it says resolved, but im told by my contact in telkom it is still not fixed properly.

Cool thanks, i believe that could be a problem. Why they can't tell you that when you phone only they will know.

im with mweb, been experiencing the same problem with p2p - downloading at around 5kb/s, although everything else seems to be working fine. glad to know that i'm not the only one. however that been said, something seems a little fishy - i'm also under the impression that some kind of shaping is going on regarding p2p software. the thing that puzzles me - if high speed access wasn't meant for high bandwidth applications, then exactly what was it meant for? i mean why pass the buck onto the consumer (who are already being ripped off with high prices) for your own incompetence and ability to provide a decent infrastructure. just my 2 cents worth...

im on isoft, no problems.. use the following dns servers and see if it solves your problems:

primarydns: 196.25.255.34
secondarydns: 196.25.255.3
