Usually I log into my unshaped account on two computers that I have networked but as of yesterday access on more than one is denied.

Can anyone confirm that this is a new restriction Telkom have applied?

Thanks Rob.

LMAO ha ha ha ha
well the best has got authentication problems and your radius session is clutted on telkom internets side. you are going to have to wait in a long q at telkom to find out whats happening. ( u could give me your username and I could c whats happening... but I doubt u will :p )

Crap - what's the number to call again? Anyone?

EDIT - 10215 :)

EDIT2 - It's not just unshaped accounts.

What professionalism.

what is happening to T.I

in the past on a advanced account or standard u could connect as many computers as u want. eg.
standard can connect 5 pc's ect
this is not good because you are not getting what u are paying for. They want you to connect according to your package
to do this telkom set everyone’s to 1 concurrent connection. and now you are going to have to call in to have it changed by an consultant. this is also causing authentication problems.

no more freebees on telkom ( thinks of the good old days where ppl had 198 simultaneous connections )

This does not make any sense. It should not matter how many concurrent connections a person makes as it all count towards there cap in the end.
I would understand if it was a uncapped account.

but it does matter. you are using ip addresses ( ip addresses that telkom needs )
so u are not using just your bandwidth.
u cacn only connect 4 times on the same username and password on a advanced account ( not too sure i dont work for T.I )

The reason they are running out of IP Addresses is because the telkom technicians install the router in bridge mode. This is stupid for two reasons.
1) They use more IP addresses as everyone who is connecting to that line will get their own IP address.
2) The router then acts as a modem and not a coupled firewall which makes the clients vulnerable.

it can be that..... or it can just be gready TI users. I saw a screan shot of some1 with over 1200 connections on 1 username
