256 upstream downgraded to 128

How much are you supposed to get?

RazorSA you are expecting way too much from Telkom :p
What BlobNow says it correct afaik

So what do the international company's call their systems that have equal up/DWN speeds.

Ok well the maximum upload speed of adsl is 1mbit, so if they offer 8mbit download, they won't offer 8mbit upload ;)

ADSL = Asymmetric digital subscriber line. Which means that the upload and download are different(not symmetric). Therefore what he said is accurate in a way.

Here we go, BlobNow was correct in his original statement ;)

Edit: You beat me to it :(

I think id know considering i have a 1mb line and it syncs and uploads at 384.
Currently uploading at 38-40. Amazing how every1 is against Telkom and yet they believe everything printed on the Telkom website.

Sorry for the mistake there.

Well, everyone on 192k used to get 30kb/s download speeds, but it was still called 192k. What does your router say your upload speed is? In other words, what does the router sync at on the upload?

Unfortunately its whats on telkom's website that counts - what you're getting is largely irrelevant and if you woke up tomorrow and it was 256 there would be nothing we could do about it. I'm also on the 1mb line and my upload speeds are no better than when I was on 512/256.
