MSI and XFX.....

It's like comparing a beetle to a Ferrari :D

No offence bud but XFX has a lifetime guarantee for one. Secondly they're cards are factory overclocked and lastly the card is basically just better.

Thanks

I'm not dissing your sale, but really ur over-exagerrating (spelling?) a bit.
Is anyone going to use the card for more than, what, 2-5 years!? So what use is a lifetime guarantee?
Ye factory overclocked, ok that's pretty cool, but if you have half a brain, you can get a stock card and OC it 20MHz, and 50MHz on the memory, that's not a big ask!
Now I admit that the XXX version at 570/1550, would be pretty hard to match.
Why is the card just basically better?

yea xfx is no better than any other company

all they do is overclock the card for you and charge you more

i would rather save 800 bucks and then overclock

but seriously now do you really need to overclock this card
i mean wtf for there isnt anything this card cannot run full when its stock

Thats's the X1950 series you're thinking of..

mr E i have my 3800 x 2 running at 2.4 from 2ghz but how do i get another 400?

do i need to drop my memory speed a bit more?

Hey people its not fair to knock the guys price. The XFX edition is great (well any GX2 is really) and that should allow high res play of almost every game out there right now if not all the games.

Having said that though, it might be cheaper to import the EVGA version from U$. Yes it'll take a good 3weeks to get here but you save a lot.
It's $509 which is just under R3,500 excluding shipping.
Even if you end up paying R1,000 extra is still only costs you R4.5K :)

1. What type of RAM?
2. What is your resultant memory speed at 2.4? (divider? 200/166/133)
3. What is your CPU vcore at the mo?

edit: "Looking around different forums I've noticed most people hitting 2.6 to 2.7GHZ with good cooling, and a few hitting 2.8 to 2.95GHz on extreme cooling."
Source: Legit reviews
They hit 2.7 with 1.568 vcore.. Ram at 225. or 450. (166 ram divider)

Oh ye, temps? Cooling?
Motherboard?

To quote myself: "I'm not dissing your sale"

R1400 cheaper HERE

Only if u stay in dbn :p

Dont think its the extreme edition though..

*edit* man I love that shop, has SO many cheap things and it competes IMO with resellers, yet it sells to the public. I went into the store in Ballito and they had one in stock.. Its a beeeeg X box

Just wanted to take it home :D

It's not the same the extreme is about R1000 more, so their price is still cheap but not as big as you thought.

To tell you the truth, I think id be happy with ANY 7950 GX2

I mean, the name says it all

The problem with these kinds of posts, its all window shopping to me :( Anyone wanna sponsor a brother R5000 odd rand :D

heh yah, one day i will by a pc with parts as expensive.. one day. :D
