You don't want to know the guts it took for me to write this post...

I am so tired of having to complain and then get things sorted out... I mean, I pay R1000.00 per month on the contract and that for a crappy connection...

Please don't get me wrong, I know it's not your fault...

I live in Raslouw in Centurion. I have the E620 data card.

I always had at least 3/5 signal strength. These day's I can't even download a 14KB email... I even bragged about my connection speed on this forum a time ago...

My connection is unstable or there is no connection at all. I suppose they changed something somewhere.

Raslouw is not even densely populated...

I'll PM you my details.

Please help me to get my connection up to speed again!

Try posting on hellopeter.com. MTN do respond to complaints posted there.

There's no need to post things on hellopeter if I'm here.

Please note our Data network has had a few problems during the course of last week and this week - There is planned work being done on our network at the moment and this will be sorted out.........

Seriously though, thanks MTNDD for taking on this task. If I had known you could pull the strings on my number issue, I may have tried you first. Having said that, I think it is crazy that companies that make so much money can't afford to pay technically competent people at call centers. I'm not even talking geek speak types - just people who know and understand the ins and outs of their product.

MTN, VODACOM, CELLC AND VIRGIN MOBILE, should all sort their S$%^& out, and get into gear, We the clients, with some of us spending well over a grand a month on your pathetic little networks have to put up with this S*&^$$% service, they have no sence in pride, as they know, the next network is just as pathetic as they are. COnsistant down time (what happened to backup??), Dropped calls the client has to pay for. HOrrible connections. EMPTY PROMISES!!!! When will this end? When will we start getting decent service? Is it not true that us, the high end clients keeps your doors open? Should we move to another country before we get decent service?
And on top of it all @mtndd, this is not an attack at you, you do your best We are now told not to complain on hellopeter.com ... Why not? Complaining there gets some response.
South Africans complains too little about things that matters, and complains too much bout things that doesnt matter.

I'm not telling you not to I'm just offering the assistance here where I can, just a example if the query is data related and it gets posted on hellopeter it's going to come to me anyway that's all I'm saying

Thats certainly NOT what he meant.

MTNDD will sort out your problems and and if you want your problem resolved quickly, posting here is definately the right thing to do.

I agee I'm not always online as I've got my projects and meetings and so forth that I have in a day as well but when I do come online I'll ensure that your post get's a reply, I'll be on leave from the 20th and I'll be back on the 26th in my absence could I ask that you please copy #[email protected] and myself or one of the guys from the helpdesk will reply ASAP

I can't help but wonder why me must pay full price for an inferior service? If MTN's updating their 3G network why weren't we informed at least?

My connection was torrid over the weekend and it's even worse today...

2-4kbps... No it's not a typo is IS kbps

I am so frustrated and sick and tired of paying a grand a month for service that's slower than dial up...

I have to use my VC sim to connect to complain?

Please don't give me this crap of a upgrade on your 3G networks because it's not true! How in the world can it take a month??? Why doesn't VC need to upgrade?

And one more question, why wasn't the MTN 3G customers also offered a free HSDPA card? I still can't figure this one out...

You can just take my 24 odd grand and run....

I would rather blow my money on VC where I have been with for the past 8 years....

I know that our network was pathetic on the weekend I gave up on Saturday I had full 3G signal and I was getting 94Kb’s on 3G, after this weekend we should expect better outputs on our data network.

Please keep me posted on Monday and let me know
