Hi,

I use the Johannesburg & Cape Town DNS servers, since early this morning I could not connect to any Apple websites or services.

If I remove UNODNS DNS IP servers and use Google DNS it works.

Has anyone else had the same issue?

Also tried the UK DNS server and still the same issue

Ticket been logged to UNOTELLY

Thanks

Same problem here since yesterday but not limited to apple but some other US servers as well.

Changed to Turkey DNS server and now it's working, Egypt also looked to have an issue.

UNODNS support just told me they are looking @ the SA DNS servers for a possible issue

Still not fixed. Any feedback from unotelly iFoggy?

No...

I have remained on Turkey DNS, performances seems comparable to SA DNS, was going to go back during the week to see if they had fixed it

I kept SA as main DNS, and used a US DNS as back up. Works for me.

And unotelly then just changed thr JBG dns server IP and if you never checked their site you'd never know. Smh. I'm now thinking the South African unotelly IPs shall ever be unreliable& constantly changing as this is not the first time ive experienced this

JBG? Isn't JHB the universal abbreviation for Jozi.

Is it me, or this actually is just affecting Afrihost clients? There is something peculiar about these recent Unotelly issues. I use 8ta and personally haven't had any issues with Unotelly eversince (am actually still using the original SA servers 196.46.185.44, 197.242.94.51 all working good) . I've been helping a friend who is with AH&the pattern of problems is similar to what I'm seeing here. Can the guys who've had problems please just confirm if you are also Afrihost clients, or other providers so we can ascertain on what's going on

I am on MTN direct and still have the issue....Afrihost sources their mobile offering from MTN so it could be a MTN issue then...

Hmm wonder what this then means:
1-is MTN actually having network issues since they are Afrihost's upstream provider?
2- is MTN messing around with people using Unotelly's DNS services only? (considering some people did tests using google's 8.8.8.8 and that worked)

Lets see where this goes
