I want to share my experience with the World; Warning do not buy anything from Modchip;I personally bought online the PS2, SwapMagic disks' they have a policy no shippings will be done unless you pay, so i deposit the Money into their bank acc,and then i never heard from them agian i lost R550, it could have been more, person call himself: Morne- the Telephone # is a residence not business, and the Cell always goes on voice-mail.
 
thanks for the warning, i was thinking of buying from them. i guess even bidorbuy is safer, cause there is a money back guarantee from the website, and the sellers and buyers get ratings that build up over time.
 
thanx ouens for ur support, trust me it's my first and very last time i'm gone buy online - i feel so damn stupid...."u know they so clever-first be4 i deposit the cash i e-mailed they responded giving all kinda **** promises,and after i paid the cash-they do not even respond to my mails, i probably send them like 50 mails in one day, and it's been like 5dy's now...
 
trust me i would have gone for personal, but where i'm frm U can't get it / it's nowhere in this Country, yet we just ur Neigbours'.

btw why not get a trusted person in Cape town to mail you the goods.
A guy on mixit i met does this for me,and he has been only but great so far
Try it some time.PM me i will see what i can do
 
I doubt it' coz i requested them to deliver it to some1 i trust that's in Johannesburg which wouldn't even take them more then a day to do it'- it's already 5dy's NO word and the dud's cell phne no answer..

why dont you just go to their offices? i have personally been there to get my ps2 chipped and it was a proper office and it seemed legit to me. why dont u try contacting them again? maybe i should call them tomorrow and point them to this thread. their address is:

yeah so i thot as well - but i'm in another Country, it would cost me "alot"to go to their offices, even if i' would luv to do that- and yes that is the info i hv on them/ the same add as u stated, dude's name = Morne Naude, including Tell: 0118261869 / Cell:0731996045, that 0118261869 is not their office number , and he's Cell goes onto voice'.
I would appreciate it if you would call them and enquire on order #:1010 - date of order = 22/01/07, delivery request was to add: Eastgate Mall,Bradford Street,Bedfordview (how can that take more then 5dy's to deliver)? pm me i can give u more details.
 
additional info of Modchip, they also have business at the address:

I too have dealt with Morne from Mod-Chip SA (who is by the way a liar and a thief)

About a year ago I ordered a set of SwapMagic discs from Morne on BoB (his username is "partyanimal" btw) and paid the money into his account straight away. Eventually i received them 3 weeks later after many excuses from the man himself.

About a month later i placed an order with him for 2 sets of discs for some mates. Once again i paid the money into his account straight away. After weeks going by and many unanswered phone calls made he gave me a SpeedServices tracking number which promptly turned out to be fake when i queried SS about the package not appearing on the online tracking service.

Eventually, close to 2 months later i phoned him up and left a message on his answering machine threatening legal action. Of course i had obtained all of his details due to the nature of my work. The next day he phoned me up with a real tracking number and my discs arrived the very next day.

Thats not the end of it...

Speaking to a mate from PE we discussed Swapmagics discs and where they were available. I pointed him towards ModChip SA (with a warning of course). Turns out he didn't need to be warned....2 months prior he had sent his PS2 to be chipped there. Morne confirmed that he had finished the installation and was going to be sending it back....which of course never happened. Over the course of a year my mate tried to contact him through email and on his cell number (which he had changed by the time i dealt with him) All in all this Morne prick effectively stole his console.

the number on the site is (011) 826-1868 ... maybe that's why you are getting to a residential phone?
