Was Telkom’s CEO sacked because of corruption?

I was always under the impression that Telkom was too stupid to be corrupt. Who knows, perhaps they did put a moratorium on hiring imbeciles for management positions.

Waar daar 'n rokie is, is daar 'n vuurtjie... en dis een ding wat nie gaan stil raak nie...

telkom = teh suxxors

if one was even more sinister inclined one could postulate that the reason Papi was sacked was to make sure prices could remain high for as long as to takes to find a new head, restructure the company, 'get back on track', etc etc etc. ie blowing smoke up the country's ass while the profiteering continues for another year. what's the chance anyone will announce price cuts now?

So the regulator has those powers. And I think that must now be allowed to come into play, and I would be happiest if government just got out of the picture. I think that government has achieved nothing. We have now a law in place, thanks to parliament, which could do the trick if Icasa is allowed to do its work.

So we are once again dependent on the Incompetent Comunications Authority of South Africa ...:(

Who cares why he is gone, at least he is gone. I had enough of this windsack, good for nothing other than putting spin on spin. Now let's see the face of the devil we don't know...yet.
