Perhaps we have misinterpreted all of the stuff goin down today.. If Neotel is granted access to the local loop in Jan 2008, that would be some good news.. Is this what they are trying to say??
Could very well be, what with all the negativity we were exposed to.
Will digest all this over the weekend... and see what it boils down to...
There's just no pleasing people. Would you rather have 80% or 0%? I maintain that something is better than nothing.
Also, in light of the fact that an unbundling process can take up to 15 years, 2011 is a pretty ambitious deadline.
Do they mean 80% bt 2011 meaning they start with Jo'Burg then go to Cape Town etc etc....
Do they mean 80% bt 2011 meaning they start with Jo'Burg then go to Cape Town etc etc....So some of us may have access by end of January, and 80% of us by 2012

This news heading and article could well be from about 4 years ago.........in fact it might just beFrom early next year consumers will start to have a choice when it comes to picking a fixed-line phone company.
Competition, there is no ****ING competition. What I find so frustrating is that Mbeke says that Telkom needs to come to the party and then his ****ing Bitch does her own ****ing thing.
We will never have ****ING Competition in this country, it is just not possible, just when you think YAY, things are looking up, something happens, 2011, for **** sakes, this was suppsed to have happened ages ago.
What is the point, our country ****ed and it is not gonna change because money talks.
What is the point of having ICASA, they dont have any bite, and as for Telkom well, they are a law unto themselves and who is gonna stop them ?
