A shrewd ‘sham’

Yup, Multichoice and Vodacom have put one over their rivals in a big way here.
If they can cling onto this deal they are assured subscribers in great numbers.
I'm surprised that Dali Mpofu still has a job after he let this slip through his claws.

I don't know about that, I know a lot of black middle-class people who would much rather have searing hot pokers shoved into their legs than sit through one of those dreadful local soccer matches...

But don't you just love the generalization here?

PSL must have a massive following, pink or purple it makes no difference whatsoever.
Major coup for a paytv broadcaster.

TiredOfWaiting, I couldn't agree more. There's actually an increasing number of black middle-class people who have taken a liking to rugby, and who can't stand the idea of a bunch of poofta's running around a feel kicking a ball and then cry like little babies when they get tripped.

The new contenders only need one channel:
SCI-FI, and they'll get my subs before they even come on air.

Would probably guarantee a few thousand others right from the start as well.
:D

The only way that a paytv system would entice me is if i could pick and choose my own channels.

Why the hell should i have to be subjected to channels that bear absolutely no interest to me?

Let us make up our own packages and there will definetly be a huge increase in subscribers.

Since everyone wants to have a CHOICE of the channels they want to watch, I think it will eventually happen as soon as other pay TV are operating.

Im happy with that. As long as they don't replace decent sport with **** local soccer. I would like to see the guide and see where they can fit it in :D

Even netball, or synchronised swimming is more exciting than local soccer with its infernal noise of ten thousand vuvuzelas.

The so called black middle class do have dstv btw.... they not so poor as many are led to believe.

Vjb 449, What sport do u support?
In my case, if I had a choice, I would only choose sports channels:D
