My account says I downloaded more than I actually did. I must be on 700MB or so now but I don't remember downloading THAT much.
Well, capping is what telkom do best!!!!
they are the kings in the capping arena.... happens to all of us!
Not quite, they're very lenient. Try getting 6gig from any other SAIX provider.

Yeah, Axxess only gives about 50-100 MB leniance before capping... Well that's my experience at least on a 1 GB account.
EDIT: Axxess resells SAIX products... Forgot to mention that
Last month telkom capped me at 3 mb over 1gb.
Was that cap applied (a) during an active dowload (b) during a relatively inactive session or (c) after disconnecting ? If that was during an active download, that is scary...eremos

I don't think 1GB accounts have relaxed capping.
No they don't, only the 2GB and 3GB accounts do.

There is about 90MB difference (less) in what http://userstats.adsl.saix.net reports compared to https://secure.telkomsa.net.My account says I downloaded more than I actually did. I must be on 700MB or so now but I don't remember downloading THAT much.
The numbers on http://userstats.adsl.saix.net/ match the sent/received numbers recorded by my router, give or take 400 bytes. Dunnow where https://secure.telkomsa.net gets the extra 90-odd MB from.

On Telkom 2GB here, I get capped at 4GB every month!

Got a 3Gb account and bought an additional 2Gb. Capping was VERY relaxed (14-18Gb from these acc's) until Feb this year, then hard cap started at about 200% of usage. I still don't complain 10-11Gb per month from 5Gb of accounts - better than other SAIX ISP's...
Only problem is the quality of the copper in some neighbourhoods - lines sometimes go down due to poor connections at the box or even at the exchange.

I had a big difference in my stats. http://userstats.adsl.saix.net/ said just over 6GB and https://secure.telkomsa.net said 1.3GB. Go figure.

Hey guys, so is it official that they give you double your cap limit until they start cutting people off now?
That's what I've heard and what they seem to be doing now.
It just makes the Do packages look a bit better, but you can't be sure and I don't really want to be paying for a 3GB account that's locked to my ADSL :/

Is the telkom DO 3GB package soft capped and if so is it throttled after you reach the 3GB and if so to what sort of speed?
