No launch date for Neotel commercial services

Surprise surprise. They keep pusing their launch date back further and further. I understand they must have teething problems but this is beginning to get ridiculous.

As for the delay in getting spectrum. They should have enough experience to know how to deal with government. Its amazing what money will do

Wow, I so didn't see this coming... What a surprise, I am in complete and utter shock.

I'm glad I didn't wait for them this time. At least I'm one week closer to ADSL installation than I would have been. Neotel is Telkom without any services.....eish, thats a scary thought eh?

I am yet to see a Neotel vehicle driving around, I'm sure the government has prevented them from buying vehicles as well. Or maybe the new credit act has... ;)

I am also yet to see a mybroadband user who was selected for the Neotel trial give us any details on what the service is like atm.

I fail to see how they are still unable to provide us with any offerings, even if the release date is only in a few months, give us offerings so long so we can see if we are interested and apply so long if necessary. Neotel might be scared of scaring away the 10% who were going to go to them, but they need to realise that by staying mum they are losing people even faster. Lots of people need to give a few months notice to their ISPs before they will even consider moving. Neotel are continuing to bleed customer months.

When will Neotel launch ADSL, Wimax and Broadband services

Neotel plans to introduce a variety of voice and data services (including high-speed-Internet and true broadband access services) for individual consumers and SMMEs in South Africa. Neotel will focus on converged wireless services, offering voice and internet access over a single device, thereby bringing convenience and simplicity in telecoms services. The converged high-speed internet access and voice services are currently being piloted by Neotel, and will be commercially available in select areas of the major metros immediately following the completion of the pilot. Neotel is also working towards rolling out True Broadband services over various technologies, including wireless technologies such as WiMAX and wireline technologies such as DSL and fibre. Broadband services are targeted for introduction around the end of the 2007.

don't hassle the band.. man - they worked ovt the titles of the songs and the album cover, all they need now is the music and the words - NME

Why am I not surprised?

Hay further pointed out that Neotel currently has various live circuits on their network which should serve to show that the company can provide telecoms offerings...

Sheesh. Live circuits. Whatever next?

The way I see it ... don't expect anything and then when they do launch something we will all receive a nice surprise. It's this anticipation that is the real killer!
