Just face off, already

Facebook's founder is still only 23, for Pete's sake

That’s bad? Oh, That’s news! What’s so bad about that exactly? Facebook was an idea. It worked. Working great really…give him that at least.

One thing is clear, Frik Els does not like Facebook that much. Neither do I, but I don’t go about writing in finweek about it now do I? And what is wrong with a young student putting his ideas in motion?

Who declined Frik's friend request!? :p

Somebody ought tell Bob about facebook... I want to hear what's he want to do about it... prolly he'll try to evict the fake Bobs and take their accounts over :D

and with this article facebook officially jumps the shark.

Soapy

Who said something about facebook being a untrue soapy..............?

It is never the guy comming up with the idea that is the fool..... Its those falling for the idea..... if it was a bad idea in the first place.

And yes, soapies do make a lot of money!!!

ROFL brilliant article, im so sick of the whole fartbook rant, fartbook is more irritating than useful actually lol

Lol @ the buy someone a gift idea...
is it supposed to make you feel warm and fuzzy inside when someone clicks a button when thinking of you? But then maybe we are lonely...

Nothing beats the real human touch, it looks more and more that people are becoming people shy

I'm not even on Facebook, and it seems like I'm the only one in here willing to defend it!

And what is wrong with someone annoyed with Faceboook writing about it in Finweek?

Fact is, Facebook isn't going to change the world, it is a silly internet fad, just like Myspace was, and soon people will lose interest and it will go the same way. "One million people against crime in South Africa" is not going to cause all the criminals to suddenly go "Oh, hang on a sec, there is a Facebook group with over one million people against crime. What on Earth were we thinking? Let's go volunteer at an old age home".

The problem with Facebook isn't so much that most of the world uses it, but rather that they try to elevate it from a "fun social website" to something akin to a congressional court.

Microsoft saw something in it - can they be wrong to infest Biliion of dollars in it

Quite allot is wrong with it. It's like me going and writing an article about “those stupid new Bratz dolls and how childish it is”, while those things is not even Meant for me. I'm not even close to the target market for it!

Of course it's not going to change the world. Whoever is telling anyone otherwise needs to rethink/revise their views a bit. Most of the so called “groups” are a total waste of time indeed. But they do not pose any risk, so just let them be. What I found the most amusing though, is the “Save Facebook” group. Facebook is supposedly going to be closed in 20 days or something, and everyone is joining the group like mad! lol

But I don’t see Facebook dying off in the next 10 years, I just don’t see that.

;)

"Infest".

A somewhat apt misspelling :P

NO the spelling is correct - was going for the wasting of money thing

Invest - would of been the correct one

Sorry if im confusing a couple of people i tend to do that
