What are the new must-have titles for the 360 and PS3 for the new year 2008?

I gotta decide whether to pounce on the Standard Bank deal on the PS3 or the DP/Kalahari deal on the 360 (or both :eek:).

Id watch for Uncharted and unreal tournament 3 on ps3, biggies!:)

As I've said before, I'm more excited by the 360's '08 than I am by it's '07 because there's some awesome lesser known and new IP's coming through - a lot less shooters as well - a lot of RTS funnily enough.

By comparison the likes of LBP, MGS and FF just don't appeal to me. Home is a complete non starter. GT5 could be nice but from what I've seen of Prologue, Forza gives GT a really good run for it's money. If race Driver one follows in DiRTs footsteps, it looks to be the racer to beat next year.

Seriously... as one of your top titles for 2008 you have "Un-named Rockstar Game"?? That just takes away all credibility from your chart, however I do agree with the majority of the other ones except that UT3 and Haze are still expected this year I think.

MGS4 will never arrive ;)
 
I was dwelving into Haze & Drake's UF for 2008 but Haze slipped till 2008. Dont know if UT3 will make it just before Xmas 2007.

For the X360 the only one left for 2007 is Mass Effect. I dont even want to check the 2008 list coz it gives my wallet a fit.
 
Ok look no one really knows when rockstar are releasing this game but yeah it will most likely be 2009/2010 and anyway they are good developers so even though i dont know what kinda franchise they will be launching, im sure it will be good.

Just by the way i forgot about the "2008" part of this thread title so its an honest mistake.

I don't agree. I've listed things like "The Peter Jackson/Bungi Project". I would have listed "Tim Schaffer Project" if Brutal Legend hadn't been announced.

I think it's fair enough to expect great things from companies and teams that have set high precedence. Look at Mass Effect, or uncharted.
