Weird coz when I left at 7am it was clear skies until I got to Macassar, then hit the mist all the way to Paarden Eiland

Black South Easter and weak cutoff low developing. Rain all the way along the southern and Eastern Cape coast, and large parts of the interior of SA.

The rain on Monday is an entirely different cold-front weather event.

Right now (noon on Fri 17th) there is a large convective cell stretching from False Bay into the Overberg. (This includes Betty's Bay and Hermanus as noted above).

Yep, still chucking it down in Her*anus as well. I thought it was clearing an hour ago but it just made make it worse.

A reminder that it is really going to rain over CT and the SW-Cape tomorrow (Mon 20th), from an unseasonal cold-front. Wind gusts of 60km/h and totals of 20-30mm are likely, with more possible over the mountains:
