The sun is coming out already. The cold-front will move rapidly along the coast, and while not producing much rain, will bring significantly cooler temperatures to the eastern half of SA tomorrow (Tues 21st).

Various models and forecasts show a moderate intensity cutoff-low (Black South Easter) this weekend (Sat 4th and Sun 5th). It is always difficult to make detailed predictions, but some rain is likely for CT itself, with heavy rain (50mm+ in 24 hours) possible along the Overberg and coastal parts of the Western Cape, and potentially reaching the drought stricken Eastern Cape:

In the mean time, I'm pumping 10kl a week from my wellpoint for the garden.

I'll believe it rains when I see more than 5mm :p

I made the biggest mistake of falling asleep while leaving the hosepipe on topping up my small pool for 7 hours. 7 hours of the hosepipe running. Besides the huge waste of water that somehow got absorbed by the earth and didn't flood my garden, please let there be rain to flush my conscience of wasting precious water during that time. Not sure what my bill will be next month, but never done this before. Feel so guilty wasting so much water. This happened 2 weeks ago, and I still can't sleep well knowing what I did.

So please let the heavens open up this weekend and top up our dams for the water I wasted.

Your bill will probably be less than you think. You will notice a higher sewage bill though.
 
Yrweather is predicting about 20mm for the Northern Subburbs on Sunday. Prediction constantly changed during the day so let's see what happens.
 
Recent model runs continue to show very heavy rain (100mm+) possible tomorrow (Sun 5th) along the southern Cape coast and adjacent mountains from a developing cutoff-low:

Yeah, there is a band of moisture and weak convection moving down from the north today (Sat 4th). This will produce some rain over the Breede Valley, but not much for CT itself. This is separate from the cutoff-low developing tomorrow (Sun 5th).
