Another weak cold front passed over CT during the early hours of this morning (Sat 11th). Our gauge in Kenilworth recorded 6mm up to 7am. There were also waterfalls on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain.

It will be mostly dry for the rest of the day, but remain partly cloudy and cool. From Sun 12th onwards weather conditions will improve, inline with seasonal averages.

Various models show the potential development of a cutoff-low reaching the SW-Cape on Sun 19th, but the track and intensity of rainfall are very difficult to predict so far in advance. This chart gives one possible scenario:

Man, this wind is hectic in the deep south, quite a big rooikrans tree in the garden split down the middle today. I guess that's braai wood sorted for winter. It's also just started spitting here, but the droplets are completely horizontal.
