Afrihost - Pure Fibre Feedback Thread Part 2

Hope everything is OK at Afrihost.

Not looking forward to the day that Gian decides to sell it or retire, as he is just about the last 'maverick' ISP CEO left in this country.

We all saw how WebAfrica nosedived after Matthew Tagg left.

Since when did the callback support stop at 19:30. Some of us are still up after that

Lost my internet just before 21:30, did a 20 minute power down of my ONT but no joy. So now I sit with no contributing until tomorrow morning

So I was trying to order a new fibre installation, but my address doesn't show up in the coverage area because the street is brand new and in an estate. The estate has fibre via Thinkspeed.

Is contacting Afrihost via Whatsapp the way to go so that I can place my order?

Anyone else having PL? Been like this for a week or so now. MFN/AH Port Elizabeth. No active statuses on AH or MFN sites...

Yeah it seems to be one of those peak hour issues. I have recieved a message from MFN acknowledging a fault and their "techies" are on site now...
That is great news that they at least acknowledged it, getting MFN to acknowledge something is usually tricky. Hopefully get resolved soon

Our techies are currently evaluating fibre faults in Gqeberha caused by Vandalism. We will continue to provide progressive updates. MetroFibre

Also having a week of random disconnects and packet loss. The usual WhatsApp trick of "put it off then on" does nothing.

No response from anyone.

Current ETA is 8pm.
Scrap that...
Our techies are making good progress with the fibre repairs in Gqeberha. Due to the extent of damage caused by vandalism, the ETR is now on 18/04 at 1am. Thank you for your patience. MetroFibre
