Anyone else seeing issues across napcpt? Getting a ton of loss to quad1 or any other provider across napcpt fabric. JHB and IPT seems fine.

Your networking certification? Like the other dude said, middle hops don't mean loss*.

Explained using the exact tool you are using: https://www.pingman.com/kb/article/packet-loss-or-latency-at-intermediate-hops-24.html

TLDR: "The only hop that matters is the final destination. If you're happy with the latency and packet loss being seen at the final destination, then none of the other hops matter."
Your latest trace shows a spike in latency for a small period of time, which is notable. And you're behind CGNAT, if you cared.

Hi everyone,

I've just returned from leave and sincerely apologise for the delayed responses and any frustration they may have caused.

I'll be working through all inboxes and mentions as quickly as possible, so please bear with me while I catch up.

We will also ensure better coverage going forward to avoid this from happening again.

Hi.
It was logged with Metrofibre and a technician will be assigned to the fault.
1353280.

Hello, since yesterday I'm dealing with very slow speeds during the day and evening only. In the early morning, it works fast. And I've found only YouTube works somewhat okay, everything else (including Google Maps) works very slow. The 35 Mbps is more like 5 Mbps, it's really bad.

@AfriGuy My reference is #HWA-104-74501

At least once a year, I get this issue. Surely this is some type of network congestion and no issue on my part, right?
Hi. How has the connection been?

Hi @Afrigirl
Been having intermittent connectivity issues since last night and the whole day today - more off than on actually. I'm in Durban, La Mercy on the North Coast and on mfn with you guys. Can you assist with it or check if mfn are even aware of it?
Thanks.

Shucks, only read the 'router only' after rebooting both router and ont. Sorry 🫣 Unfortunately hasn't come right tho, ont broadband and service lights are solid green after reboot. WiFi router is stuck on connecting to the Internet in admin panel.

Thanks, saw this. I'm in the north coast of Durban, so wasn't sure if it covered us too. Hopefully it's related to that major outage then. Thanks again for your quick help as usual 😉
