I saw on FB some EFF retarded turd filming a video about employers while driving.
Telling them how bad they are because their employees cannot buy a house or a car. And they can only send their kids to school and buy food, nothing else.

Just read the subtitles. No way I was gonna listen to that kunts voice.
I felt bad for a fraction of a millisecond and then moved on with my life.

Because it is the employer's fault, right?
That red jumpsuit mofo is not an employer for fscking sure.

Nothing yet... but should get the announcement soon.

I did already apply for a promotion, didn't get the position but was told its a "soft no" and they will relook at it in the near future.

Then my co-worker, who just vacated the position, told me it does not come with an increase.... so LOL.

Well we never know do we....

There are employers who are out to screw their workers and make big $$
Then there are others who pay a fare wage as best they can, while keeping the buisiness afloat.
Then there is the cost of living that will screw you either way....

The EFF trap people in with that assumption that its always the employer who is at fault.

Not sure what exactly that is about. But there are companies where the directors pull massive salaries, private schooling, fancy vehicles, pensions, investment, medical cover, holidays overseas. But their employees with degrees and skilled have NONE of those and are under paid.

Know your worth. If you are underpaid, its yourself to blame!

They should become directors then.

Nope, sort of but not really, there is an actual IT department, I use IT equipment for other means :-)
Plus not many Linux guys in the company

Yeah, it was more of a dig at the 'higher ups' who believe everything can be replaced by Excel, like my last company where we used planning/scheduling tools to manage over 20000 individual items and the then CEO questioned why we couldn't 'just use Excel'.

Their varsity degrees taught them to think and how to think, can't blame them.

We used Excel for an IT ticket system.

And then when they look for a new job they get hit with the ol "give us last 3 payslips from current employer" when it gets to the offer stage. And they get caught in a cycle of being underpaid unless a company decides to "make right"... which most won't.

Excel is great, I love it and use it often, but there are certain systems/tools/software it cannot replace.
You *SAY* that... I've seen a multi-workbook complete wine farm management system... Where it managed the fields/crops/planting/watering etc etc. They eventually HAD to split to multiple linked workbooks because it got too big and was crashing Excel when they opened it.

Do I think this is a good idea? Nope. LOOOOOOL.

Yeah, I have seen a CDC to SDC to store replenishment planning system built in Excel so you can almost do anything in Excel. As you say, it's probably not the best idea, long term anyway. That replenishment model took close to an hour to run through all it's sheets, macro's, VB Script, etc. if it didn't crash or go in to error.
