Canada is in general a weak soccer team, but they do have a very good striker in Jonathan David (he has played for top European clubs for a while). They are weak at the back, but if they get two goals, Bafana Bafana can't win because they're unable to get more than one goal.

They really did actually defend well. Sadly that was the game plan.

I would have felt better if they had good attacks constantly pressing Canada and actually had shots on target and then lost because then I can say they tried.

You can't go on the field with a defensive mindset like that because how are you going to win if you don't attack?

Oh well, I had Canada 2-0. Why we chose to play like this in a knockout... the team needs to work on striking. Neither team looked hot though. I think Canada is out in 16.

This is why I don't watch Football. 100min of my life wasted. At least with Rugby and Cricket they shoot their shot and if they lose they at least attacked and did something.

They'd get into such good positions on the break, only to immediately pass back instead of trying to thread a pass, or take a man on. Can't win like that. Felt like they were playing for penalties.
